Autobiografische vertelling van regisseuse/scenariste/actrice/danseres Sally Potter (Orlando, 1992) over haar amoureuze ervaringen met de vermaarde tangodanser Pablo Verón. Tijdens een verblijf in Parijs raakt ze volledig in de ban van de dans en de danser om uiteindelijk samen met hem een filmproject aan te gaan waarin de tango centraal staat. Het gaat uiteraard om de machtsstrijd tussen man en vrouw met de dans als weinig subtiele metafoor. Schaamteloze ijdeltuiterij of niet, het ziet er mooi uit met afwisselend stemmig zwart-wit en bonte kleuren, knappe dansscènes (oa langs de Seine zoals Gene Kelly en Leslie Caron) en zelfs nog een vocale bijdrage van Sally Potter.
